Bay Area rapper Earl Stevens was in town last week to record a new music video. Stevens, better known by his stage name E-40, is a founding member of the rap group The Click, and the founder of Sick Wid It Records. Stevens has released 26 studio albums to date, according to Wikipedia. The platinum-selling recording artist and actor from Vallejo also has his own wine label, named Earl Stevens, which is reportedly produced in connection with Rippey Vineyards. You can buy his wines at BevMo, among other places. We know all this because Mayor Mikey Hothi was with E40 when he was in town making the video. In fact, Hothi—who may be the hippest mayor the city’s ever had—says he could actually appear in the video. Hothi says he met E40 in Dallas for the Nate Diaz vs. Jake Paul boxing fight in August. Must be good pals, because Hothi said he asked E40 to mention Lodi in a future song, and he said he would.
