New Lodi Papapavlo's almost ready to open

The new Papapavlo’s restaurant on Lockeford at School is set to officially open very soon. Owner Jennifer Pappas says they’ve already had some private parties there and reservations at the new place are coming in. The new restaurant has five private banquet rooms and a much larger horseshoe bar area. The new place is located next door to their current restaurant, which Andy and Jennifer Pappas say will probably be leased out for a wine tasting room, deli, a breakfast and lunch cafe, or something like that.

OPEN AND CLOSED: The Sky Wok Chinese restaurant has closed. It was located in the Save Mart shopping center on Lodi Avenue. The restaurant was owned by Zilong Yu, who is originally from China. He told the News-Sentinel in 2015 when the place opened that he had always dreamed of owning his own eatery. He said he wanted a chance to change his life. Before Yu took over the space was home to another Chinese restaurant, China Wok, which lasted less than three years. The windows are papered over and an area resident said they saw a locksmith changing locks at the restaurant. The restaurant’s website is also down. Some former customers expressed sadness over the closing, saying the food was good and reasonably priced. …
