About Lodi – FRIDAY, 6/20/25

Did you notice the “For Sale” sign in front of the old General Mills plant on Turner Road? It’s apparently true. The 60-acre former manufacturing facility is being offered for sale for about $85 million, we’re told. The online listing found on showcase.com indicates the property is listed by Colliers Global Commercial Real Estate Services. County records show that about 20 acres was sold for $15.2 million in 2016 to RRM Enterprises LLC. However, records indicate that Lodi Lake Business Park LLC became the owner in 2022. It has been something of a mystery about what activities have gone on at the facility since it was sold to RRM Enterprises, an investment group that owns Bond Manufacturing Inc., an Antioch-based outdoor living consumer product manufacturing company. Phone calls are typically not returned. General Mills closed its Lodi plant in 2015 after nearly 70 years of operations here.

JAIL TIME: Kathy Warner has watched the soap opera General Hospital since it went on the air lo so many years ago (1963?). Anyway, she was stationed in front of her TV last week, as usual, when one of the characters in the show (Martin Gray) said he’d been gone because he had been in a California jail. A Lodi, California jail. What?!? “It took me by surprise,” says Kathy. She says she started watching the show with her grandmother 60 years ago. “I was happy when VCRs came out and I could record it!” she says. No word on what charges Mr. Gray faced.
