Several Lodi wineries took home “Best in Class” medals at the 2026 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition held in January. They include Durst Winery & Estate for the Sangiovese; Karen Birmingham\Naked Wines for their Merlot; Estate Crush Cab Sauvignon; Cab Franc from Inkblot\Michael David; Oak Farm Vineyards’ Petit Verdot; zinfandel-leading blend by Lodi Red\Michael David; and Melanto Terrace Winery for their zero/non-alcoholic wines. The Chronicle show is the largest competition of North American wines and attracts entries of more than 5,500 wines from more than 1,100 wineries in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
